Album Theme: Rock And Roll Memories. Listen to New Ground, Night Life, A Good Night In A Tent & Evening Red. Here's my personal hippie flavored musical compilation called STONED & SENTIMENTAL. Having been born in Queens, New York in the mid 60s, my teenage years were spent in the 70s, growing up in an era where New York City radio stations played revolutionary honest to God Rock and Roll - bands whose members are old and gray now, but nothing less than (and for the most part) living legends in their own time. Picture yourself driving around in your first beat up old car listening to The Who, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, etc. – to name but a few – on the r a d i o. So I'm glad I was an American teenager who figured out there was a pretty big anti-establishment and whatever the hell else wasn't cool movement going on in a far from glamourous New York City of the 70's. This album is a tribute to all of us who found out about great music and flower power, because I know that Rock and Roll made my world a much better place to hang out in. Sure wish my parents could have understood what they were missing.

New Ground

Cool cats jammin' on Haight. In the zone with their instruments and each other. Peacefully rollin' along with a groovy hammond organ that will bring out the hippie in just about anyone.

Back To Earth

The sum of all parts. We're a band now. Improvising and philosophizing. No turning back. Gotta make more money to pay back the man. Thoughtful and laid back.

2:51 · 85 BPM

By The Riverside

An eclectic version of the deep rooted spiritual gospel with soul-filled male vocals. Pacifists of the world unite. We need you now more than ever.

Greenfield Road

Coming home to my country estate, tucked away from the winding green roads. How long before I have to go on tour again? Country twang makes this one innocent and sweet.

3:18 · 75 BPM

Night Life

Curiosity killed some of the cats by now. Stuck with big habits that don't let go. Night is day and day is night. It's all the same anyway. Cynically cool yet hopeful.

3:34 · 100 BPM

Remember

And then my wife writes me a letter and I break down and cry. How can I stop the madness and make her love me again. But I've got no time for this now. The show must go on. Heartwrenching female vocals.

A Good Night In A Tent

Coming down in peaceful surroundings. The full moon shines into my canvas cave. Dreaming about you and how we used to laugh together. Storytelling harmonica with mellow, trippy synths & chanting crowd vocals echoing and running away.

3:23 · 60 BPM

Held In The Sun

Looking at where you used to stand on stage and I see your ghost. God, I miss you so much. And sometimes, right before I fall asleep at night, I see you in the sun and in the moon. Out of body female & male vocals.

4:06 · 120 BPM

Head In The Clouds

Completely out of my mind by now. But an angel told me to take off for exactly 5 years. Wasting my talent, yeah, but you know what, I don't care. So go away and leave me alone. Aloof and distant.

3:05 · 125 BPM

Evening Red

Flying high in the sky where the sun is blue and the evening is red. Hazy days and comatose nights. Whatever happened to the soundtrack of my life? Resignation and just roll another joint vibe.

3:28 · 75 BPM

Hurricane Neil

Coming back from the dead. Brother, can you hear me? Waking up in the emergency room. One last chance to let the music be your master. Screamin' harmonica & jammin' guitars. Seriously determined.

3:34 · 115 BPM

Downstream

All washed up and no one's buying your albums anymore. Up a river without a paddle. Do you have any more brilliant songs left inside of you? Slow & meticulous, synth tears dripping on water.

2:26 · 80 BPM

After The Storm

Back on track. Finding the music again and planning a reunion with the guys. Will they give you another chance? Slow and thoughtful with some excellent guitar riffs.

3:19 · 75 BPM

Full Circle

You've come full circle and lived to tell about it. Goodbye dark ages. The music is flowing out of you again. Wonderful life. Strumming along acoustics & trippy outerspace wah wah effects.

3:28 · 134 BPM

Light Of The Stars

Alone as a solo artist now. Can't deal with anyone anymore. Just wanna do my own thing. No more big egos and co-writes to fight about. I'm all I've got and that's enough. Melancholic piano & soaring guitar.

2:50 · 130 BPM

Sun Salute

Far Eastern culture and spirituality set the tone for an original new sound with an intensity and depth that was missing in the past. Going out on your own was the right decision. Psychic guru chanting tells you what to do.

3:21 · 75 BPM

First Light

And all that you really wanted to do was hang up the Rock Star costume and spend time with the people you loved. But Rock 'n' Roll took its toll - so sorry to see you go. Sad, remorseful piano & teary-eyed harmonica & hammond organ.
