Le Well Quartet
Founded in 2012, the WELL Quartet is an all-female string quartet bringing together four musicians, composers, arrangers and vocalists whose diverse backgrounds complement one another. From classical music and jazz to rock, chanson, world music and contemporary creation, the quartet has developed an open musical language defined by versatility, creativity and expressive freedom.
Beyond its concert activity, the WELL Quartet creates original arrangements and compositions for string quartet, string orchestra and full symphony orchestra, contributing to albums, film scores, television productions and live performances. The four musicians also lend their voices to a wide variety of projects, making vocal performance a natural extension of their artistic identity.
Together and individually, they have collaborated with a broad range of artists including Imany, JB Dunckel (AIR), Canine, Emel Mathlouthi, Chapelier Fou, Médéric Collignon, Titi Robin, Nina Attal, Tom Poisson, Antoine Sahler and Uèle Lamore. They also regularly perform on film and television soundtracks and appear on stages across France and internationally, including the Paris Jazz Festival as well as the International Jazz Festivals of Canton, Shenzhen and Changsha.
Through every project, the WELL Quartet brings together the precision and elegance of chamber music with the creative freedom of contemporary musical genres, placing the expressive richness of string instruments at the service of a wide variety of artistic collaborations.
