Stan Galouo
Stan Galouo (Norbert Galouo) is a French-Congolese composer, producer, artistic director and music content creator, widely recognised as one of the leading specialists in Afro-Latin and tropical music for screen. Active in the music industry for more than twenty-five years, he has developed a distinctive musical universe where salsa, boogaloo, cumbia, reggaeton, Afrobeat, Latin jazz, merengue, bachata and funk come together in contemporary productions created for film, television, advertising and video games.
In 2002, he co-founded PalmaCoco Records before launching BooGaloO in 2019, a label entirely dedicated to Afro, Latin and tropical music. Through these ventures, he has built a catalogue of more than 500 compositions while collaborating with artists and musicians from across the globe, making cultural authenticity and musical fusion the defining hallmarks of his work.
A long-time collaborator of Colombian composer Sr Ortegon, Stan Galouo co-produced Boogaflow, nominated for a Latin GRAMMY Award in the Best Tropical Fusion Album category, as well as numerous production music albums including Latin Experience, Salsa Evolution, Mexico Norteño and Fiesta Latina. His music has been featured in major international productions such as Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Terminator: Dark Fate, Rambo: Last Blood, Saw X, Cobra Kai, The Boys, HPI and The Blacklist.
Winner of a Hollywood Independent Music Award in 2023 and a Mark Award from the Production Music Association, nominated for a Latin GRAMMY Award, and a member of the Recording Academy, the Latin Recording Academy, the Television Academy (Emmys) and SACEM, Stan Galouo continues to build an international career distinguished by musical excellence, cultural richness and a remarkable gift for cinematic storytelling, making each of his productions instantly recognisable.
