Patrice Dambrine
Patrice Dambrine is a French musician, composer and producer whose work draws from punk, garage rock, post-punk and electronic music. An active figure in the French independent music scene for more than two decades, he has developed a distinctly DIY (Do It Yourself) approach, shaped by the raw energy of alternative music and a deep-rooted connection to underground culture.
Best known as the bassist of the post-punk band Frustration, signed to Born Bad Records, Patrice Dambrine is also the co-founder, vocalist and guitarist of the punk rock/noise band Last Night, as well as one half of the electro-punk/hip-hop duo Règlement. Across these projects, he has forged a distinctive musical language where driving bass lines, abrasive guitars, electronic machines and tense rhythms combine to create an aesthetic that is direct, organic and unmistakably contemporary.
Alongside his work as a performing artist, Patrice Dambrine composes for production music and screen projects, bringing his instinct for impactful rhythms, rich sonic textures and atmospheric storytelling to compositions for film, television and audiovisual media. Drawing equally from post-punk, cold wave, garage rock and electronic music, his writing is instantly recognisable for its intensity, energy and strong narrative character.
Through each of his creations, Patrice Dambrine remains true to the independent spirit that has defined his career, combining artistic integrity, alternative culture and musical efficiency to create raw, immersive and resolutely modern sonic worlds.
