NSDOS
NSDOS is a French multidisciplinary artist born in Paris in 1984, whose work lies at the intersection of electronic music, dance, digital arts and performance. Trained at the Académie Internationale de la Danse, he began creating his own sounds to accompany his movements, gradually making the relationship between the body, music and technology the core of his artistic practice.
Sometimes described as a “techno hacker”, NSDOS subverts technological tools and the traditional codes of electronic music to imagine new forms of creation. Body sensors, interactive devices, programming and data collection become instruments through which he transforms movement and his environment into sonic material. The mechanical structure of techno thus meets an organic approach, in which physical gestures can directly influence sound.
This research has led him to create performances that extend far beyond the traditional concert format. NSDOS explores different territories, environments and technological systems to collect data, experiment with new forms of interaction and question the relationship between humans and machines. Audiences are regularly invited to become part of this process through performances, installations, workshops and masterclasses.
His work has taken him to numerous stages and institutions dedicated to contemporary creation and digital arts around the world. He has notably appeared at MUTEK festivals in Montreal, Mexico City and Tokyo, BIAN in Montreal, the Gwangju Biennale in South Korea and the Milan Triennale, reflecting the international and transdisciplinary nature of his career.
Through both his musical creations and performances, NSDOS has developed a distinctive vision of electronic music as a space for experimentation, where bodies, machines, data and environments constantly interact. His work pushes the boundaries between composition, dance and digital arts, giving rise to sonic and visual experiences in constant evolution.
