Madben

Madben is a French DJ, producer and composer widely recognised as one of the leading figures of the European techno scene. Inspired by the legacy of Detroit techno, he has spent more than fifteen years crafting a distinctive sound where driving rhythms, immersive melodies and sophisticated sound design come together in music designed as much for the dancefloor as for focused listening.

After establishing himself as both a DJ and event organiser, Madben gained international recognition through releases on renowned labels including Astropolis Records, Bedrock and Ellum Audio. His music blends the raw energy of rave culture with the elegance of melodic techno and a deeply cinematic approach to composition, turning each production into a fully immersive sonic experience.

His albums Fréquence(s) and Troisième Sens marked important milestones in his artistic journey, showcasing a musical identity where meticulous sound design meets emotional depth. Equally at home behind the decks or performing live, Madben has appeared in some of Europe's most iconic clubs and festivals, including Berghain, Printworks, Awakenings, Nuits Sonores, Astropolis and Offweek.

Alongside his solo work, he co-founded the duo Trunkline with Yann Lean, an analogue live project built entirely around synthesizers and drum machines, without the use of computers. This ongoing exploration of sound, texture and improvisation reflects his commitment to pushing the boundaries of contemporary electronic music.
