Fabien Girard

Fabien Girard is a French composer, guitarist and sound designer whose musical universe lies at the crossroads of jazz, world music, electronic composition and music for screen. Driven by an insatiable curiosity for sound, he draws inspiration from the musical traditions of Ethiopia, West Africa, Brazil and India, while embracing the creative possibilities of synthesizers and contemporary sound design.

Composing professionally since 2005, Fabien Girard has developed a highly personal approach to music, where timbre, sonic space and the intention behind every note are just as important as melody itself. This artistic vision allows him to move effortlessly between electronic music, orchestral writing and cinematic composition.

As the co-founder of Arat Kilo and Balaphonics, he has built an international career while also composing for advertising, documentaries, fashion and production music. His work reflects an open-minded vision of composition, where groove, organic textures and sonic exploration naturally coexist.
