Emmanuel Marée
Emmanuel Marée is a French drummer, composer and arranger whose career has been shaped by an enduring curiosity and a passion for musical exploration. Initially trained in jazz at the Conservatoire before furthering his studies in New York, he has developed a musical approach where technical mastery always serves groove, emotion and collective performance.
Throughout his career, Emmanuel Marée has embraced a wide range of musical styles, from jazz and rock to pop, electronic music, French chanson and musical theatre. Equally at home on stage and in the studio, he has collaborated with artists including Hugh Coltman, Ndidi O, Robi, Benoît Carré, Alexandre Kinn, My Friend Jeff and Zanarelli, contributing notably to the final album by Christophe.
Driven by a constant desire to explore new artistic territories, he also joined the stage production Georges, a contemporary reinterpretation of songs by Georges Brassens, Jacques Brel, Boris Vian and Serge Gainsbourg. The project perfectly reflects his artistic philosophy: bringing musical heritage into dialogue with a contemporary sensibility.
Across every collaboration, Emmanuel Marée demonstrates a deeply open vision of music, where artistic excellence, versatility and a strong sense of collective creativity come together to shape an elegant and timeless musical identity.
