Composer
Dan Amozig
Dan Amozig is a French composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer whose musical universe draws equally from jazz, hip-hop, soul and music for screen. A guitarist, bassist, trumpeter, flugelhorn player and vocalist, he has developed an open and versatile approach to music where improvisation, groove and melody are at the heart of his work.
Inspired by artists such as Wayne Shorter, Wes Montgomery, Madlib and MF DOOM, Dan Amozig has built a distinctive musical identity that bridges the traditions of jazz with the contemporary aesthetics of hip-hop and modern music. Since moving to Paris in 2010, he has collaborated with numerous artists and ensembles, performing at some of France's leading festivals.
Alongside his work as a performer and composer, Dan Amozig is also an educator, sharing his passion for contemporary music through teaching, while hosting the long-running radio show Fine Cuts on Radio Campus Paris, dedicated to exploring today's musical cultures.
Driven by an ever-present artistic curiosity, he continues to collaborate across a wide range of genres, from rap and soul to trip-hop and film music, crafting a body of work where instrumental virtuosity, musical dialogue and creative exploration come together naturally.
