Bruno Hovart

Bruno Hovart is a French producer, composer, multi-instrumentalist and remixer, internationally recognised under the name Patchworks. Since the mid-1990s, he has crafted a distinctive musical universe where soul, funk, jazz, African music, Jamaican influences and electronic sounds come together with remarkable freedom.

Based in Lyon after spending several years between Angers, Birmingham and London, Bruno Hovart has developed a deeply hands-on approach to music production. A bassist by training, he composes, arranges, records and produces his projects across a wide range of musical styles, always driven by a passion for groove, melody and organic instrumentation.

Throughout his career, he has created several acclaimed projects, including Patchworks, Uptown Funk Empire, Voilaaa, Patchworks Galactic Project, Mr President and Taggy Matcher. Alongside these projects, he has collaborated with numerous artists and bands while releasing music through respected labels across Europe, North America, Asia and Australia.
