Arom
Arom is a French composer, producer and songwriter whose musical universe draws on hip-hop, electronic music, science fiction and video game culture. Through a dark, futuristic and cinematic aesthetic, he has developed a distinctive sonic identity where hard-hitting beats, analogue synthesizers and electronic textures come together.
Inspired by American hip-hop, 1990s science fiction films and the world of video games, Arom has built a rich musical language that extends across both his solo projects and collaborations with international artists including Madchild, Chino XL, Emsallam, Deadi and La Gale.
A versatile composer, he creates everything from hip-hop productions to chiptune, synthwave and funkwave tracks for leading production music publishers such as Parigo, Sonoton, West One and Prodigious. His work also extends to film and video games, notably contributing to the soundtrack of Lionel Baier's feature film The Continents Drift (South) (La Dérive des continents (au sud)) and the sound design of the video game G.I. Joe: Wrath of Cobra.
Alongside his artistic career, Arom has spent several years leading songwriting, music production and recording workshops within community organisations, using music as a tool for creativity, education and social engagement.
