Arandel

Arandel is a French musical project built around a singular artistic principle: letting the music take centre stage. Remaining deliberately anonymous, the artist performs behind curtains during live shows, transforming each performance into an immersive experience where the focus rests entirely on the music and the emotions it conveys.

Rejecting samplers and MIDI devices, Arandel composes exclusively with musical instruments, creating a distinctive sound world where electronic music, contemporary composition and classical influences meet with remarkable freedom. This organic yet experimental approach gives rise to richly textured and deeply immersive sonic landscapes.

Since the release of his debut album In D in 2010, now regarded as a landmark of experimental electronic music, Arandel has continued to develop a highly distinctive body of work through albums such as Solarispellis, Aleae, InBach and InBach Vol. 2. His productions are highly regarded by record collectors, DJs and sample diggers alike, while leading publications including The Wire, XLR8R and The Line of Best Fit have consistently praised the originality of his artistic vision.
