Alexis Molenat

Alexis Molenat is a French composer, guitarist and producer whose musical universe blends indie rock, electronic music and instrumental composition. A passionate collector of vintage instruments and analogue synthesizers, he has developed a distinctive sound where the energy of garage rock meets electronic textures and the cinematic spirit of 1960s and 1970s film music.

Throughout his career, he has founded or joined several notable projects, including The Cavaliers, Cité Lumière and Agent Casio, while collaborating with artists such as La Femme, Forever Pavot, Frustration and Last Night. Alongside his work as a performer, he composes for theatre and production music, constantly exploring new creative directions through both solo and collaborative projects.

Based in Rennes since 2020, Alexis Molenat continues to develop his musical vision from his Fiat Lux studio, creating instrumental works inspired by pop culture, analogue synthesizers and classic film scores. Blending cinematic melodies, retro textures and contemporary production, his music has become instantly recognisable for its distinctive sonic identity.
